Decentralised Finance and Blockchain (IFTE0007)
MSc Banking and Digital Finance · 15 credits · Postgraduate Level 7 · Term 1 · Wednesdays, 15:00–19:00 · Room 509, UCL East.
The module explores Bitcoin and Ethereum, consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, token standards, decentralised finance and central bank digital currencies, with practical testnet exercises. It is available to students on UCL’s MSc Banking and Digital Finance.
Doctoral research
Prospective PhD enquiries are welcome around quantum computing and quantum-inspired methods for finance, blockchain and decentralised financial infrastructure, and agentic systems in quantitative finance. A brief research outline and relevant academic background provide a useful starting point for discussion.
